Peltier pad: what we are testing

The Ø40 mm Peltier pad sits in the center of the Ø60 mm head. A Peltier element turns cold on one side when current runs through it, and the fan has to carry the heat away from the other side.

So we are looking at three things: how cold the surface gets, how quickly it gets there, and how much heat the fan has to move. The last point matters most. If the warm side is not cleared, the cold side does not stay cold.

What comes next

Sample pads are being evaluated together with the fan and the battery. We will share results once the numbers are settled, rather than early figures that may still change.
