Design development report completed

On October 6, 2026 the product design development phase for the Cooly mini fan came to an end with the final report. It documents the three design directions we explored, the user research behind them, and the form we chose.

Three directions, one answer

Minimal, Premium UX and Portable were the words that guided the project. The chosen design keeps a clean silhouette with straight lines and large radii, a white monotone broken only by the black bezel and the metal pad, and a handle that widens toward the base so the fan stands on its own.

The report also fixes the position of the display and the button, the Peltier cooling grip on the back of the handle, the strap hole under the base and the anti-slip rubber pad. The next phase moves the design into engineering and tooling.
